Ticzon, Ladia & Cruz’s: The Black Project to me is every newbie photographers dream. Getting Paul Ticzon, Ricky Ladia, and Parc Cruz under one roof to provide you a 2-day course on photography focusing on shooting (Ticzon), lighting (Ladia), and post-processing (Cruz) was truly a treat.

Happy to attend the The Black Project Workshop which allowed me to be with my photo buddies from the Some Like It Hot Workshop. It is a re-hash of both the Some Like It Hot Workshop and also the Portraits Workshop which focused on several aspects: Model rapport, posing and photo post editing techniques.

Main issue I had with this is that I didn’t like one of the models. Otherwise, this workshop is amazing! 🙂

Thank you Sir Paul, Sir Ricky and Sir Parc for sharing your knowledge to us. Hats off to Hundred and One Events and Exhibits for organizing these wonderful workshops! 🙂

Paul Ticzon. is an award-winning senior video editor, graphics artist, and director. He was among the first nonlinear editors in the country and has directed numerous corporate campaigns and station IDs. Ticzon has been working in the industry since he graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1991.   

Ricky Ladia. worked as a photographer at an advertising and publishing company in the Middle East for two years where he specialized in taking detailed photos of artifacts and reproducing paintings and old photographs. Ladia later took on freelance work for mainstream magazines from reputable publishing companies such as Eastgate Publishing (Mabuhay Magazine), ABS-CBN, Summit Media and Hinge-Inquirer Publications. He has also shot for first-class hotels, resorts, fashion and retail brands, and has done celebrity profiles, among other things. Ladia is also known for his food photography, having worked with several food magazines, as well as with various restaurants and culinary schools in the country. He also dabbles with fashion photography, having done covers for leading style publications. While Ladia considers himself a generalist photographer who does not want to limit his creativity.

Parc Cruz. A self-taught photographer whose creative path started in July of 2005,  Parc Cruz’ work has become famous for its powerful cinematic qualities. Since exploding onto the local photography scene, PARC is renowned for constantly pushing the limits of convention. He is also known for his experimental explorations with a distinct and readily recognizable style of his own.
